Greetings, Faith!

As we come into February, we also come into the Lenten season. Ash Wednesday is Feb. 18 and will once again be held at Faith at 6:30pm. Our Wednesday evening services will again be in collaboration with our ecumenical partners here in Columbus, each Wednesday evening we will gather at one of the ecumenical group churches at 6:30pm and worship/reflect together.

This past month, I gathered with the other clergy members from our ecumenical partners, and we decided our theme for this Lenten season would be enemies. A word that is deeply relevant in our current climate, a word that carries much weight, and a word that oft present in our Scriptures. As we gather each Wednesday evening, we’ll look at how the Scriptures relate to enemies and what this word means to us now as followers of Christ. Do we have enemies? How would we define them? What becomes of enemies in light of the good news of Christ Jesus? I hope you will be able to join us as we consider these important questions and hear from our various ecumenical clergy partners, and I look forward to Faith once again being a part of this wonderful tradition.
