Faith Fundraisers:
The Journey and the Gathering and the Community and the Love are the important things. I remind myself of that every day. But we do have to fund our trip. Fundraisers for our group is how we do that. Our plan is everybody who is going pays the initial $150 deposit. That is it. The estimated cost for one person is $1,100! So we fundraise. Perfectly, everyone going on the trip helps with every fundraiser while building community and camaraderie. Each family going on the trip plans and organizes one fundraiser. Of course, we can and do work as a team (you are never alone). We have lots of fundraisers to plan, but we don’t have everybody involved in leading them. So, we really need your help. What can you help lead and organize?

As we gear up for Minneapolis in 2022, let’s take a fun look back at Houston 2018:
Registration rates are unchanged this cycle with the cost being $350.00 per person (if you register your congregation and pay the deposit between September 21 and November 20, 2020).
- The ELCA will be using a new online registration program this cycle. Information and training opportunities will be forthcoming this spring and summer.
- Hotel room costs should be budgeted to be around $159.00 + 11% tax* per room per night (*ELCA congregations will NOT be exempt from the taxes this cycle due to Minnesota tax laws).
- We are anticipating offering bus transportation again for this Gathering and I will share information as we begin to plan those details – preliminarily I anticipate reservations opening for synod buses on October 1 with buses filling on a first-come-first-served basis.
Volunteer Positions Needed:
- Leaders (at least 1 adult male and 1 adult female)
- Registrar
- Financial
- Fundraiser leads (everybody does at least 1 event)
