“Declare how much God has done for you.” – Luke 8:39
“We cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard!” – Acts 4:20
By now, you have been or will soon be a part of a cottage meeting with Pastor Mark. You’ve had a chance to tell your story and listen to the stories of others. Our stories and God’s story are the basis of this Renewal Process that we will be a part of for the next three years.
We all have stories to tell: funny stories, things we’ve learned, news about our families, triumphs and tragedies, and plans for the future. We have stories about how we came to worship at Faith. We have stories about baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and funerals.
As the people of God, we have stories to tell about what God has done for us and about the difference that God’s grace has made in our lives. We also have stories to tell about what God has done through us-how God has used us to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Bible tells us about people whose lives were so changed by God that they were able to make a difference in the lives of others. This month, we will focus on storytelling and on giving—both of which are grateful responses to the grace of God.
God has given us so much—and the gifts of God are for sharing.
Yours in Christ,
