About Faith’s Confirmation program…
Faith Lutheran Church’s Confirmation program is a three year curriculum for sixth through eight graders. Many details were covered by Pastor Mark during the September 6 parent meeting at Faith and are available on this orientation sheet. The curriculum prepares the students to become an adult member of the church via their confirmation in the fall of their ninth grade year. The program cycles through three courses, with the 2017/2018 focusing on the Luther’s Small Catechism, and 2018/2019 focusing on the Old Testament, and the 2019/2020 school year focusing on the New Testament.
Roughly every Wednesday night during the school year, the students meet at 5:45 at Faith for a lesson, family activity, or other event, and that goes until around 7:00. After that, small group time is lead by small group leaders of Faith. The small group leaders are adult members of Faith that help students with questions, prayers, and giving guidance as they learn more about their faith.
